Dyson Slim...don't know what happened. It works when it is tilted back. But stops running upright?
I have no idea what happened. I was cleaning up tiny pieces of styrofoam and all of a sudden it was making funny noises. So, I cleaned out the rollers and they seem fine. Now it only runs when I tilt the handle back. As soon as it is upright it turns off (actually just stops running until we tilt it back again. No suction at all from the top hose. Won't even turn on when its upright.
Please help. My husband is pi$$ed at me.
I really can't say what could be the problem with this machine, other than it's a plastic piece of junk. I just got done unplugging one of these in my shop, and it is one of the worst designed and engineered machines I've ever seen, and I've been in this business for over 40 years. It's most likely plugged from the small bits of foam, but why it would just quit is something that will have to be determined as it's taken apart. If you can find someone to work on it, take it to them and see what they say. Ask for an estimate first.
