Q about using the Dyson DC 28 Animal?
We just purchased the Dyson DC 28 Animal and love it for the most part. I have a question about how the settings should work.
Near the on/off switch, there are settings for the length of the carpet pile (high, medium, and low) as well as a bare floor option. When we press these buttons, nothing seems to happen. According to the user manual, the option you select should light up as to indicate the current setting. Ours does not light up. Also, for the bare floor option, it is my understanding that the brush bar should not rotate but ours does when set on the bare floor option.
So it's my impression that the settings aren't actually changing when we push the buttons for the different options and that it's stuck on one setting.
What is your experience with how these options should work. Am I misunderstanding something or is our unit broken?

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing a problem with your Dyson DC28 vacuum cleaner. You are correct that the Bare Floor, Low/Medium/High pile buttons should light up when they are selected and that the brush bar should not spin when the machine is set to Bare Floor mode.
